Love is in the air and there’s nothing I love more than inventing new ways to decorate my home with crochet! This year I thought it would be fun to crochet tiny hearts to use as confetti to decorate my entryway table and dining room! I made some in pastel colors to look like conversation hearts…
and some in traditional Valentine’s Day colors to match some of our decorations!
I also made some with larger yarn to make a heart garland!
For this pattern you will need:
For tiny heart:
size 10 crochet cotton in any colors
size 6 crochet hook
heart pattern below
For larger heart:
worsted weight yarn
size I crochet hook
Crochet Heart Pattern:
Round 1: Make a magic circle, chain 2, in magic circle make 3 dc, 4 hdc, 1 dc, 4 hdc, 3 dc. chain 2, slip stitch into magic circle. Pull magic circle a little bit tighter but don’t close it all the way.
Round 2: Chain 3. In first dc, sc and hdc. 2 hdc in each of next 2 dc. 1 hdc in next hdc. 1 single crochet in each of the next 3 hdc. In the double crochet, make hdc, dc, hdc. 1 sc in each of the next 3 hdc. 1 hdc in next hdc. 2 hdc in each of next 2 dc. hdc and sc in last dc. chain 3. slip stitch into magic circle.
Pull magic circle all the way closed and weave in yarn ends.
