Pumpkin Spice Everything Pillow

Happy Fall, y’all!  Don’t you just love this season?!  I think it is my favorite season of all.  I live in a place where it is pretty much summer all year long so we don’t have the falling leaves or the chill in the air…  but… I know it’s fall when everything turns into… Pumpkin Spice!!

Crochet Candle Sleeves

Hello, everyone!!  Halloween is on it’s way and i’m so excited to decorate!  I just love decorating for the holidays and I love having scented candles around to add to the ambiance.  Having pretty candles around the house is one of my favorite ways to celebrate the seasons and holidays.  These pretty little crochet candle sleeves can be made to fit any candle.  You can crochet your own candle sleeves out of just about any crochet edging pattern or you can buy lace and sew it around the candle.  Either way, these are pretty and spooky and perfect for Halloween!

You can watch the video tutorial here.

For this project, you will need:

size 10 crochet cotton in black

size 7 crochet hook

pattern for crochet edging

candles or candles in mason jars

lace (if you don’t want to crochet your own)

needle and thread

scissors

The crochet edging patterns I used are from this adorable 1952 crochet magazine:

The candle holder on the back right was made using the Irish Crochet Edging.  I repeated rows 2 through 6 until I got it to the length I wanted it.  I also added 3 rows of double crochet to the bottom just to make it a bit more interesting.

The candle sleeve on the back left was made using the Pillow Case Edging.  I repeated row 2 of the header 3 more times to make the sleeve a little longer.  You can make it any size you want to fit your candle or mason jar.

The candle in the center was made using lace that I purchased at the craft store.  I sewed it into a sleeve to fit onto the candle.  Easy-peasy!

I hope your candles turn our spooky and beautiful!  Happy Halloween!!
